Prose is a verbal or written language that follows the natural flow of speech. It is the most common form of writing, used in both fiction and non-fiction. Works of philosophy, history, economics, etc.., journalism, and most fiction (an exception is the verse novel), are examples of works written in prose. The prose is the most common and popular form of writing in fiction and non-fiction works. Prose can vary depending according to style and purpose. Writers use different types of prose as a literary device depending on the style and purpose of their work.
